Fat Salmon almost ready to Roll

Shinju is probably Phood Addict’s favorite sushi restaurant in the city. Creative rolls, reasonable prices and friendly service make it a popular destination for many Philly sushi lovers. The main drawback of Shinju has always been the size — the tiny restaurant can’t hold much more than 20 diners at a time, and since it was named Zagat’s top rated restaurant recently, getting a table has been increasingly difficult.

Well that’s about to change, as Shinju will be moving to a new larger location at 719 Walnut. (This is the former site of Aso Sushi) The new space is three times larger and will go by the name Fat Salmon. They expect to be in the new location at the end of October/beginning of November. Hopefully they will ¬†maintain the same high standard set at their Locust Street location.

Are they closing the original Shinju? Or opening a second location?
